Cinco de Mayo

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Did you know that the United States celebrate this holiday more than Mexico?  And in Chandler, Arizona, people race Chihuahuas. Also over 100 million avocados get eaten on this day.

Are you doing anything special?

I did a mani especially for this day. I used Wet n Wild Blank Canvas for the white base, and everything else is acrylic paint, topped by some topcoat.

Star Wars Nails

Sometimes I have no clue what to put on my nails. And when that happens, I can always go to the actual day of the month. Who doesn’t celebrate Star Wars Day. Never heard of it before until I started doing nails 2 days ago, joking.

I used white nail polish that bubbled up on me from the death shake I had to give it because I let it sit too long (Wet n Wild Blank Canvas) and my ol’ trusty black acrylic paint. Can you see the bubbles? I wonder how many days does it take before it won’t bubble up. How are you celebrating this official-unofficial holiday?

New Name

I am sorry for the serious lack of post. I have been a little more active on instagram more than anything, but I do want to get more serious about my postings. I changed the name to my blog and things too. It really is not easy to change all the social media things, but I will get to them and make sure they are working. The hard thing for me to figure out is the facebook. I tried to do wordpress, but I will just stick to this one. Other than that, somethings are in the workings for me, I will keep you posted. Yes, I am a Candy Crush Addict

Follow my blog with Bloglovin And I am not ashamed, I think I am on level 270 something. I even pass my family's levels for them, when they are stuck. But, I can control myself and take long breaks from it, although, I always return. I can believe it is the number one grossing app on iTunes. I refuse to spend money on it, it is a free game.

I do have a love/hate relationship with this game. It is the only game I play that I talk to it (ok, maybe scream). Those bombs get on my everlasting nerves right about now, ugh. Anyhoo, enjoy my candy crush nails. It took me two days, with a whole bunch of breaks in between. Seems synonymous of how much time I spend on the game.

I used the new Pop Art Collection from Wet n Wild. I bought the whole collection, 69 cents a pop. Love me some deals.

The blue is Teal Slowly and See, the green is Stand the Test of Time, and the sort of purple gradient situation on the pinky and pointer is Who is Ultra Violet. The rest, you know it, acrylic paint.

Beetle Bailey

I remember love getting the sunday comics, especially the colorful ones. And since I was an Army brat (that hardly traveled) I wanted to do Beetle Bailey. What is your favorite comic?

For my base I used Sally Hansen's Insta-Dry in Lightening.

Neon Fun

Hmm, I don't know what I was trying to achieve with this one, but it was quick for me. I used a white base and kind of did a neon gradient, then drew some black outlines and checkers all with acrylic paint.

What do you think? Would you rock these, or do they look too busy?

How to Make S'mores

S'mores is my family's summer favorite. Although we may not warm our marshmallows over a fire, my kids can make them anytime with the microwave. Go figure. Regardless, it is still yummy. So in my mind, I had to do me some s'mores nails. You need all the ingredients pictures and then you put them together and enjoy.

The colors I used were, Revlon's Hot For Chocolate on the pinky, Sinful Color's Rainstorm for the dark blue, Color Club (a no namer from Ross) for the light blue, and Maybelline's ColorShow in Bare Escape for the pointer. The rest is acrylic paint.
